Clara Ruth Self, age 76 of Mt. Sherman, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at her home.

She was born on September 10, 1935 at Center Point, Arkansas the daughter of Bill and Orpha (Arbaugh) Villines.

She was a homemaker and loved fishing, bird watching and working in her flower garden. She had lived most of her life in Newton County and was a member of the Mt. Sherman Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin grandchildren, Jessie and Nora Self and two sisters, Dathna Parker and Thelma Poyner.

Survivors are her husband, Warren Self of Mt. Sherman; two sons, Dan Self and wife Donna of Houston, TX and Rickie Self and wife, Nib of Jasper, AR; two daughters, Anita Spears and husband, Tom of Western Grove, AR and Colleen Self and friend, Mary Fleenor of Republic, MO; two brothers, Sam Villines and William Jeff Villines both of Mt. Sherman, AR; three sisters, Lora Matlock of Mt. Sherman, AR; Lillie Kilgore and Ava Brasel both of Harrison, AR; six grandchildren, Nathan Rine, Emily Willis, Stacey Self, Jennifer Longstreth, Jonathan Self and Kathryn Self; three great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Jase Willis and Owen Longstreth. Also many other relatives and friends.

Visitation was Monday, August 13, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Funeral services were Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Mt. Sherman Assembly of God Church with Pastor Raymond White officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Sherman Cemetery.

Pallbearers were nephews: Charlie Parker, Gary Matlock, Kenny Poyner, Robbie Villines, Jeffery Villines and Billy Joe Villines. Honorary pallbearers were nephew, Garland Matlock and all of Clara's nieces.
