Obituary
James "Jim" Roy Styles, age 88 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the Newton County Nursing Home in Jasper.
The son of William and Siney (Stiles) Styles was born on August 13, 1923 in Hayward, California.
He retired from the United States Navy after serving 30 years and working as an electrician. He was of the Baptist faith and had moved to Newton County in 1962 from California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Grace Styles; two brothers and two sisters, Floyd Styles, Edward Styles, Laura Dell and Verla Elma.
Survivors are two brothers, Robert Styles of Madera, CA and
Richard Styles of Edwardsville, KS; two sisters, Edith Johnson of California and Lotha Styles of Eugene, OR; two special friends whom he "adopted", Jann England of Pelsor, AR and Jerry Breedlove of Jasper, AR and their children and grandchildren whom he claimed as his own grandchildren.
Memorial services at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper. Shirlene Lackey will be the speaker.
