Yolonda Mallory, age 78, of Compton, Arkansas, passed away surrounded by family on June 20, 2025 at her home.

The daughter of Alfred and Vesta (Stone) King was born May 9, 1947 in Sacramento, California.

She first moved to Arkansas in 1967, she began a long military career that pulled her away from the state, including her time in Germany, which she loved. After retiring from the military, she returned to Arkansas in 1998, where she remained until her passing.

Yolonda was a proud US Army Veteran and was part of the 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg. She had achieved the title of Master Blaster, logging over 264 jumps.

She worked hard to provide for her family. She enjoyed gardening, with immaculate and beautiful flower beds.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Raymond Lee Sims and Donald Ray Sims; three brothers, and a sister.

Yolonda is survived by her children, Donna Saul and Ronald (Rose) Sims; a sister, Florence Beabout; 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, and extended family.

Burial will be at a later date in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
