Wyman Dale Brumley, age 65 of Diamond City, AR, passed away Friday, August 10, 2007 at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The son of Gail L. and Mae E. (Shelton) Brumley, was born June 27, 1942 in Tuscumbia, MO. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of First Baptist Church in Diamond City. He also was a lifetime member of the VFW, having served as Post Quartermaster, and was a 32 Degree Mason. He retired as the manager of a wholesale electric company.
Those that preceded him in death were his father and a sister, Wilda.
Survivors are his wife, Margaret (Smith) Brumley, of the home; mother, Mae Brumley of Oak Grove, MO; sons, Wendell and Michael Brumley, both of Kansas, and Aaron Payne and his wife, Lisa of St. Charles, MO; daughters, Shelley Brumley of Texas and Lisa Stone and her husband, Van of Geneva, IL; brother, Jack Brumley of Oak Grove, MO; sisters, Jerry Varner of Stillwater, OK, and Peggy Howard and Rita Robinson, both of Oak Grove, MO; eleven grandchildren; and his mother-in-law, Dottie "Goobie" Payne of Diamond City. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Chippin Dale.
Visitation was Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Funeral service was Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Diamond City. Committal service was held Friday, August 17, 2007 at the VA National Cemetery in Fayetteville. Pallbearers were Aaron Payne, Darryl Hughes, Jack Brumley, Tom Varner, Tom Varner, Jr., and Jessie Robinson.
