Windel Doyle Sneed, age 81, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
The son of Raymond and Lillian (Lewis) Sneed was born February 11, 1944 in Batavia. He was a lifelong resident of Boone County and had retired from Pace Industries after 43 years.
Windel loved hunting, especially deer hunting with his best hunting buddy, his nephew, Carter. He also enjoyed word puzzles. Windel loved his family, and he treasured spending time with them. He was very protective of his family and was devoted to taking care of their needs. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle. His big heart and infectious smile will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard Sneed; two sisters, Janette (Paul) Martin and Carol Sneed; father and mother-in-law, Dewey and Mabel Lane; brothers-in-law, Vetle (Laura) Lane, Kent Selvidge, Tom Riggins, and David Ricketts; and a sister-in-law, Hildred (Jim) Heany.
Windel is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mildred Sneed; his daughter, Keena Sneed; a brother, Kirby Sneed and wife Sonya; two sisters, Rhonda Eslinger and husband John and Patty Riggins. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Cecil and Mary Lane, Glen and Sally Lane, Rhilda Ricketts, and Imogene Sneed Bates and a host of nieces, nephews, and great and great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, October 10 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Funeral service will be at 10 AM, Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Coffman Funeral Home with Tim Creamer officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Judea Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews and great nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be his former Pace Industries Co-Workers and Friends.
