Willis Howard Standridge, age 88 of Ben Hur, AR, died Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, AR.
He was born in Ben Hur, AR. on August 7, 1930 to Joe Howard and Nancy (George) Standridge.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving from May 1951 to April 1953. He loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed his life on the farm and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He also enjoyed gospel singing.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Icia Johnson and Syble Garrison; his Father-in-law, Jim Rackley, and his son-in-law, Jimmy Dale Campbell.
Willis is survived by his wife of 62 years, Oleeta (Rackley) Standridge of Ben Hur, AR; his children, Phyllis Barnes (Royce) of Russellville, AR, Shirley Drewry (Dennis) of Witt Springs, AR, Jimmy Standridge (Kathy) of Hector, AR, Judy Mallett (JN) of Ben Hur, AR, Teresa Walker (Russell) of Harrison, AR, and Ronald Standridge (Twilla) of Hector, AR; his grandchildren, Christy Frazier (John), Alvin Barnes (Pam), Aaron Drewry (Kim), Lindsey Baysinger, Jo Jaeger, Levon Standridge, Candace Fisher (Dan) Casey Campbell, Kaitlin Humphrey, Cassidy Walker, and Courtney Standridge; 8 step grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brothers, Ralph, Taft, Loyd and Bobby Standridge; his sisters, Bonnie Sharp and Betty Day; and his mother-in-law, Fannie Rackley.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, May 17, 2019 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Ben Hur Freewill Baptist Church with Troy Coffman and Glendon Garrison officiating. Burial will follow in Harrison Cemetery in Ben Hur, AR.
Pallbearers will be Alvin Barnes, Aaron Drewry, Levon Standridge, Johnathan Drewry, Loyd Rackley and Darryll Rackley, with honorary pallbearer being Casey Campbell.
