Willie Ed (E.D.) Baker, 79, lost his fight with lung cancer on Tuesday evening March 30th 2010 at Hospice House in Harrison, Arkansas.
He was the fourth child, of Ora Melvin and Walsie (Keeling) Baker, he was born August 21, 1930, at Gilbert, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jewel and Lonnie Joe Baker. He is survived by his three sisters, Eula Rice, Yakima, Washington, Wilma Barnette and husband Ronald, Yakima, Washington, Ora Mae Shipman and husband Dwight, Bruno, Arkansas.
Survivors of his immediate family are his wife of fifty-nine years, Glenna (Gregory) Baker; his son, Donnie Baker and his wife Debby, Wichita, Kansas; Pamela (Baker) McNally and husband Bill, Topeka, Kansas; Lincoln Baker, Parkville, Missouri; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Willie worked for Seymore Foods Machine Division, as a supervisor, in Topeka, Kansas for almost forty-one years before retiring to Meriden Kansas in 1992 and returning to Harrison, Arkansas in 1996.
Visitation was from Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison, Arkansas.
The funeral service was held at Coffman Funeral Home at 2:00pm, Friday, April 2, 2010 with Joe Blair officiating. Burial followed in Osborne Cemetery in St. Joe, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were Rodney Baker, Ryan Baker, Dusten Hards, Jason Broaddus, Brian Phillips and Tony Gregory.
