IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William
Struble
July 1, 1939 – May 20, 2019
William Harvey Struble, our daddy, papa and "Great" was born July 1st, 1939 in Owego, NY. The son of Erwin Harvey Struble and Vivian Dawn (Shultis) Struble. On Monday, May 20th, 2019 at 5:30 in the morning, our daddy took his first breath in heaven at the age of 79. Thank you Jesus!
There is so much we can share about our daddy and the impact he had on our lives. The strength and wisdom he constantly shared throughout our journey together was one to be cherished. We, as a family, truly had the best of both worlds. In our momma we had a preacher and in our daddy we had a clever teacher and a fierce protector. Daddy was always our safe place. It never mattered the circumstance, we knew he would be our hero every time. His advice and love always pointed us in the right direction. We trusted him to know that he was truly God's gift to us even when he was ornery and life sent our family through a storm. Daddy, Papa and "Great" always was the first one there to help. No questions asked.
William served in the U.S. Marine Corps. His service was very important to him. He was proud to be a marine. He also worked in the Iron Workers Union for 40+ years. William "Bill" and Sandra, the love of his life, were joined in marriage on May 24th, 1964; they celebrated 49 years of marriage that Bill wouldn't have traded all the gold in the world for. He loved Sandra and we are so thankful they are together again.
William is survived by his children, daughter Billee Jo Gibbins and husband Timmy Gibbins of Harrison, Ar; Son Mark William Anthony and wife Priscilla Anthony of Orange, California; daughter Shana Marie Scott and Mondrea Scott of North Richland Hills, Texas; grandchildren Quinn Gibbins, Tanner Gibbins (wife Kaitlyn Gibbins), Ashley Taylor (husband Chace Taylor), David Pemberton (wife Hilary), Dallas Jensen (fiance Zeke Reading), William Austin Jensen, Tyler Jensen (Mason Gentry), Julianna Ramirez, Garret Anthony, and Alexandra Anthony; Great grandchildren David Kyler Pemberton, Lyla Pemberton, Braxton Taylor, Deston Taylor, Kaden Gibbins, and Kylie Gibbins; Four brothers Bob Struble (wife Sharon), Lenard Struble (wife Ruby); Ronald Struble (wife Pat), Mike Cole, several nieces, nephews and many friends and loved ones.
William was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Max Struble; daughter Ronda Lee Pemberton; his father Erwin Harvey Struble and mother Vivian Dawn Struble.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 23rd at his favorite spot - The Neighborhood Diner, from 6-8 p.m. This is the place you would find Bill nearly every morning and there is no better place to celebrate him and the joy he brought us all.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you help us continue the fight against cancer. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or by phone at 1-800-227-2345.
