William Remmel Smith, age 84 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at his home.
He was born on April 22, 1931 at Piercetown, Arkansas the son of William Ezro and Easter (Collins) Smith. He was a Mason, a machinist, a veteran of the United States Army and a Christian. He had lived most of his life in Newton County and was married to Lucille Tenison on May 29, 1961 in Miami, Oklahoma. He dearly loved his four grandchildren.
Remmel was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Ray Smith and brother, Darrell Smith; two sisters, Gladys Taylor and Geraldine Smith.
Survivors are his wife, Lucille Smith of Jasper; a son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Christina Smith of Huntsville, AR; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Michael Campbell of Hindsville, AR; one sister, Wilda "Pat" Shatwell of Kansas City, MO; his mother-in-law, Lizza Tenison of Lurton, AR; four grandchildren, Brianne Campbell, Courtney Smith, Brannon Smith and Cayden Smith. Also many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Joe Sain officiating. Burial will follow in the Jasper Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Ewing, Michael Campbell, Kelly Tenison, Ricky Smith, Darrel Wallin and Junior Smith. Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren.
