William Lewis "Bill" Robinson, Sr., of Diamond City, Arkansas, passed away at home on Friday, November 7, 2022. He was 96 years old.
The son of William Luther Robinson and Rosa Mae (Lewis) Robinson was born July 19, 1926 at Last Chance, Oklahoma.
Bill moved to Diamond City 18 years ago, after living most of his life Oklahoma. He retired from truck driving after 51 years. He started driving trucks at age 15, and worked for Continental Baking/Wonder Bread for many years.
He served in the US Army and was a WWII Veteran. He drove a tank, and was honorably discharged as a sergeant.
Bill loved building things. He was always busy and had been working on restoring a 1984 Chevy Pickup at the time of his passing. He loved his grandsons, and looked forward to going on adventures with them. He loved to talk about his driving experiences and the time he spent in Okinawa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Luella Robinson; a brother, J.T.; two sisters, Jo Ann and Evelyn; and two sons-in-law, Randy Ransford and Alfred Chesler.
Bill is survived by his son, William Robinson, Jr., and wife Donna; three daughters, Glenda Stemple, Rose Mary Ransford, and Janie Bouziden and husband Terry; a brother, Vernon Robinson; four grandsons, Terry Bouziden, Jr., William Bouziden, Randy Ransford, Jr., and Robert Chesler and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Services will be private.
Arrangements and cremation under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
