Obituary

William Elvin "Pat" Paschal, age 91 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at his home.

The son of Elbert Patrick and Rachel (Jacobs) Paschal was born September 14, 1919 in Scranton, Texas.

He was a veteran having served in the Army Air Corp in World War II, 14th Air Force in China, Burma and India Theaters of Operations with the rank of T/Sgt.

He was a plumber and had lived in Newton County for over 33 years. He was a member of the Deer Baptist Church and had been a deacon for 60 years.

His parents; three sisters and three infant granddaughters preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife, Ardis (McCormick) Paschal of the home; one son, Donald William Paschal of Santa Fe, New Mexico; one daughter, Nan Van Hemert of Jasper, Arkansas; one brother, Roy Lee Paschal of Bokchito, Oklahoma; one sister, Ovena Copelin of Abilene, Texas; three granddaughters; one grandson; one step granddaughter and five great grandchildren.

Services was at Deer Baptist Church with David Faught and Don Mulford officiating. Burial followed in Crossroads Cemetery at Deer.

Visitation was Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Pallbearers were the men of the Deer Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Legacy Hospice.
