William Elton Cook, age 83 of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 in Harrison.
The son of Charles Gary and Viola Evangeline (Hicks) Cook, was born on June 15, 1930 in Hatfield, Arkansas.
William served in the United States Air Force and was an electrician for many years after that. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church, volunteered to do home repairs for the elderly and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a gentle, strong and patient man.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Amada Gonzalez and Anita M. (Walton) Cook; one daughter, Linda Sue Cook; one son, Robert Cook; three brothers, Olen "Buddy" Cook, Clovis Cook and Gary Cook; and two sisters, Alice Manes and Doyce Lunsford.
He is survived by one son, Eddie Cook and wife Jennifer of Harrison, Arkansas; two daughters, Judy Lindstrom of Norman, Oklahoma and Dawna Lowe and husband Bill of Harrison, Arkansas; step-children, Pam Holmes and Mike Hardy; one brother, David Cook of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Loretta Russell of Moore, Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Services was held at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison, Arkansas with interment following in Love Cemetery at St. Joe, Arkansas. Dan Esau officiated.
Visitation was held at the funeral home Tuesday.
