William Paul Brandt, age 69 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at his home.
The son of Orville and Gertrude (Sibley) Brandt was born on August 9, 1944 in Lyndon, Illinois.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and an electrician having worked for Kraft Foods in Champaign, Illinois for more than thirty years. He and his wife moved to Newton County, Arkansas in January 2013.
He built ramps for Faith in Action, volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, was a District United Methodist Lay speaker, a member and a trustee of the Mansfield United Methodist Church in Mansfield, Illinois. He attended many Bible studies and was a faithful Christian who loved God and his neighbor, always doing for others.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Betty Earlene (Burdine) Brandt of Jasper, Arkansas; two sons, Wesley Scott Moser of Jasper, Arkansas and James Brian Moser of Huron, Ohio; two brothers, Robert Brandt of Lincoln, Illinois and Jim Brandt of Arizona; five granddaughters, one grandson and two great-grandsons.
Graveside service was Friday, March 21, 2014 at Smith Cemetery at Vendor, Arkansas with Pastor Sharon Monroe officiating. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the cemetery, also.
Pallbearers were Kirby Carlton, Kalan Carlton, Joey Madison, Donnie Madison, J.D. Madison, and Roy Coonts.
