Wilburt "Wil" Oural Noss, age 85 of Mt. Judea, Arkansas passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at Mt. Judea.

The son of Walter Oscar and Pearl (Shively) Noss was born October 19, 1925 in Warren, Ohio.

He was an Engineer, Deputy State Fire Marshall, a Ham Radio Operator and a graduate of USC. He loved hunting, fishing and beekeeping. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was a member of the Mt. Judea Church of Christ and had moved to Newton County 25 years ago from California.

Mr. Noss was a United States Navy and a United States Coast Guard veteran serving 30 years in the military. He retired as Lieutenant Commander with the U.S. Coast Guard.

His parents; one brother, Robert Noss; two sisters, Erma and Shirley and an infant brother, Walter Robert Noss all preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife, Barbara "Bobbie" (Marler) Noss of Mt. Judea; one son, William Steven Noss of Orangevale, California; a step-son, Douglas Michael Johnson of Orangevale, California; one daughter, Jane Kathryn Blasco of Los Angeles, California; three sisters, Gladys Goodwin of Elko, Nevada, Dorothy Stockel of Sacramento, California and Charlotte Arthur of Foresthill, California; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Mt. Judea Church of Christ with Junior Dotson, Mike Toland and David Dotson officiating. Military graveside service and burial in Noss-Marler Cemetery at Mt. Judea under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper.

Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Pallbearers are Ronnie Nichols, Rex Cross, Jr., David Cross, Jerry Kimble, James Carl Campbell and Rob Thomason. honorary pallbearers are Dr. Jimmy Justice, Sandra Barnette, Charles Campbell and Ronnie Rhoades.
