Obituary

Clinton Wayne Ellis, 87 of Harrison, Arkansas peacefully passed away at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House on May 12, 2020.

He was born in Bodcaw, Arkansas on June 29, 1932 and was the son of Clinton and Maxine Ellis of Hope, Arkansas.

Wayne graduated from Bodcaw High School and South Western Graduate School of Banking in Dallas, Texas.  He served in the Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War.  He retired from banking after 43 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Ellis.

He enjoyed playing golf and earlier in life, he worked with the Boy Scouts troop in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  He and his wife enjoyed traveling in the United States and overseas.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Imogene Ellis of 62 years, his daughter, Michele (Billy) Carroll, his son, Michael (Wendy) Ellis and a brother, Joe (Marsha) Ellis; two grandchildren, Olivia Carroll and Ava Ellis who he loved dearly.  He is also survived by beloved brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Capps Road Church of Christ in Harrison with Norman Sewell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Hills, 501 E. Sherman, Harrison, Arkansas, 72601.
