Charles Wayne Berry, age 57 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Saturday, November 8, 2008 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.

He was born April 23, 1951 in Durant, Mississippi.
He had been an Investigator in Law Enforcement in Leflore County, Mississippi and moved to this area in 1997.

Wayne could be found any given day at McDonald's drinking coffee. Auctions were his favorite past time whether he bought anything or not. He was very proud to be a patriotic country boy and was willing to help anyone in need. One of his happiest times was at Christmas when he played Santa Claus.

Wayne was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and loved all of his family, his country, and his animals without condition.

His mother, Frances Etta (Berry) Keith preceded him in death, along with his step-father, James P. Keith, and a sister, Rose Berry.

Survivors are his wife of forty years, Patricia Ann (Matlock) Berry of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip Wayne and Lynette Berry of Mississippi, Charles Edward and Karen Berry of Missouri, and Jonathan Shane and Sabrina Berry of Harrison; brother and sister-in-law, James Harold and Tammy Keith and their two sons of Harrison; sister and brother-in-law, Tina (Keith) and John Boyer of Mississippi; ten grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

There was a memorial service for Wayne, Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Harrison Senior Center with Pastor Zumalt and Pastor Curtis officiating.

Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, Bethesda, MD 20814.

Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
