Wayburn W. Terherst, age 82 of Omaha, AR, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at the Hospice of the Hills Hospice House, in Harrison, AR.
The son of William "Will" and Tulia (Underwood) Terherst, was born November 26, 1925 in Denver, AR.
He was a Corporal in the U.S. Army, having served in Germany and Korea. He also was a sandblaster, working on the Beaver Dam. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Wayburn's parents preceded him in death, along with his brothers, Norman, Carl, and Glenford Terherst.
Survivors are his son, Tommy Terherst and his wife, Annie, of Merriam Woods, MO; daughter, Carolyn "Susie" Terherst, of Green Forest, AR; sisters, Bamie Jones, of Harrison and Bonnie Asbury and her husband, Rev. Kenny Asbury, of Green Forest, AR. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Trista, Stefany, Nicole, and Audrey Terherst, and Kyler Johnson.
Funeral service was Friday, January 18, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Rev. Kenny Robinette officiating. Cremation followed.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Hills Hospice House or to Carroll County Hospice.
