Wanda Fae (Maloney) Walden, age 76 of Parthenon, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
The daughter of Reuben and Claris (Cook) Maloney was born March 20, 1935 in Dallas County, Texas.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Parthenon, Arkansas; a homemaker and had moved to Newton County 21 years ago from Pasadena, Texas. Her family and church were most important to her and she was always willing to help and serve other people.
She married Bobby Harold Walden on August 18, 1952.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mae Ann Newby and two infant siblings.
Survivors are her husband of 59 years, Bobby H. Walden of Parthenon, Arkansas; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jo Ann Walden of Harrison, Arkansas; twin daughters, Marlene Walden and Sharlene Damewood both of Magnolia, Texas; three brothers, Jesse Maloney, Kenneth Maloney and Joe Maloney all of Texas; three sisters, Mary Bertke, Carol Mills and Geraldine Holland all of Texas; six grandchildren, Michael Paul Walden and wife, Shelley; Mark Alan Walden and wife, Jaime; Brandi Qualls and husband, Don; Jarrod Ryan Damewood; Jacquelyn Nicole Damewood and Sara Michelle Damewood; five great-grandchildren, Mason Skiles, Logan Walden, Emilee Walden, Bryleigh Qualls and Jocelyn Qualls and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Parthenon, Arkansas with Pastor Jamey James officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery at Parthenon under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper.
Visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Michael and Mark Walden, Don Qualls, Jarrod Damewood, Hopper Hilland and Charles Hanna. Honorary pallbearers will be friends at the First Baptist Church - Parthenon.
