Obituary
Wanda Carolyn Blair, age 68 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.
The daughter of Virgil C. and Sarah Ellen (Frederick) Payne, she was born October 6, 1940 at Husaw, Arkansas.
She was a member of Silver Valley Community Church and was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, and aunt and enjoyed singing, playing the piano and guitar. She always enjoyed sitting on the porch watching squirrels with her husband.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Virgil Walter Payne; and a nephew, Carl Nugget Payne.
Survivors are her husband of 49 years, Herbert L. Blair of the home; her daughter, Coleen Blevins and her husband, Carl of Omaha; three grandchildren, Katey Greene, Carrie Blevins, and Christine Blevins; five great-grandchildren, Taylor Greene, Austin Greene, Haley Greene, Hunter Lane, and Carlee Eason; sister-in-law, Vada Payne; and nieces, Loretta Eddings, Ellen Wynn, Vickie Britt, and Kathy Jo Allen.
Visitation was Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Services were Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Silver Valley Community Church with Charles Edwards officiating. Burial followed in Milam Cemetery with pallbearers being, Kevin Eddings, Jamie Paul, Eddie Paul, Kurtis Payne, Randy Wynn, and Ernie Dean. Honorary pallbearers were Ray Clayborn, Ken Laxon, and Justin Eddings.
Memorials may be made to Silver Valley Community Church or to the Milam Cemetery fund.
