Obituary
Wallace Eugene Harrison, age 84 of Jasper, Arkansas died Friday, July 13, 2012 at his home.
The son of Jack Austin and Maude Mae (Phillips) Harrison was born May 11, 1928 at Jasper, Arkansas.
He was a 1946 graduate of Jasper High School. He retired from the Arkansas Highway Department in 1986 and had lived most of his life in Newton County.
Wallace was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Reed Harrison, Wayne Harrison and Leon Harrison; two sisters, Janice Fowler and Edna Mae Coonts and one great grandbaby, Jayden Alexis Harrison.
Survivors are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Butch Harrison of Jasper, Arkansas and Robbie and Lisa Harrison of Jasper, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Janice and John Clark of Cimarron, New Mexico; two brothers, Jack Harrison of Jasper, Arkansas and Henry Harrison of Demopolis, Alabama; long time friend, Wanda Harrison of Jasper, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, July 16, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Tony Taylor officiating. Burial followed in Union Hill Cemetery at Parthenon. Visitation was Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
Pallbearers were Billy Pat Phillips, Mark Fowler, John David Phillips, Johnny Harrison, Jerry Harrison and Austin Mefford. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Blackwell, Freddie Stone and the Jasper High School Class of 1946.
