Wilburn Argie "W.A." Gaylor, age 89 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Friday October 16, 2015 in Harrison.

The son of Wilburn R. and Lilly Taylor Gaylor was born on April 26, 1926 in Marble City, Arkansas.

W. A. served his country in the United States Army. Following that he worked for 17 and 1/2 years at Russell Stover. He then was a mail clerk at the Mountain Home, Arkansas Post Office and then went on to be Postmaster of the Oak Grove, Arkansas Post Office. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the Masonic Lodge Boone 314 where he was a Master Mason, was a member of the APWU, the National Postmasters Association and also the Arkansas Legal Postmasters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 wives, Mary McGaughey Gaylor and Barbara Farris Gaylor; 3 sisters, Bethel Carr, Opal Raney and Laverne Raney; a son-in-law, Danny Franklin; a step-son, Bob McGaughey; a step-son-in-law Ben McGuire; and a great-grandchild, Katlyn Rikard.

He is survived by a daughter, Beverly Sue Franklin of Springfield, Missouri; 3 step-children, Ann McGuire of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jayne Wilson of Harrison and Art McGaughey of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one brother, Larry F. Gaylor of Elkins, Arkansas; one sister, Marie Pund of Harrison; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of others who will mourn his passing.

Services will be held Wednesday, October 21 at 1:00pm at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. There will be no set visitation. Pallbearers will include family and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Hills Hospices House in Harrison.
