Obituary
Irvon Luther "Von" Gregory Jr., age 74 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in Harrison.
The son of Irvon Luther Gregory Sr. and Gladys Elsie (Moose) Gregory was born on June 9, 1942 in Wewoka, Oklahoma.
Von was a member of Mary Mother of God Catholic Church where he was a Eucharist Minister. He enjoyed gardening and loved being outdoors. Von was in the United States Navy, where he served in Vietnam. He was also a world class roller skater.
He was preceded in death by his parents and the mother of his child, Fayrene Russell.
He is survived by Carl Bell of Harrison, Arkansas; one daughter, Lana Piland and husband Donald of Rogersville, Missouri; Carla Tuttle Bailey of Berryville, Arkansas, Vicki Hathorn and husband Brad of Hindsville, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren, Robert Fite, Adam Fite, Mackenzie Gregory Fite, Hannah Lange, Dylan Hathorn, Chase Hathorn, Kayelin Hathorn, Brandon Tuttle, Lucas Tuttle and Carlie Bailey; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Talan, Althena, Hayden and Olivia and many other family and friends who will mourn his passing.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 18 at 11:00 am at the Mary Mother of God Catholic Church in Harrison with Father Jim Fanrak officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Open visitation will be during business hours Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Pallbearers will include family and friends.
