Obituary

Viva V. McCutcheon, age 95 of Harrison, Arkansas, a former Newton County resident, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Bristol Pointe Health & Rehab (Hilltop Nursing Center) in Harrison.

The daughter of Berry E. and Vartie (Holt) Greenhaw, she was born July 21, 1914 at Mt. Judea, Arkansas.

Viva had lived most of her life in Newton County and was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Burr McCutcheon; brother, Lesker Greenhaw; and sisters, Hazel Cheatham and Lola Greenhaw.

Survivors are her children, Burr McCutcheon, Jr. of Harrison, Freda Campbell and husband, G.W. of Jasper, Wendell McCutchen and wife, Carolyn of Harrison, Billy McCutcheon and wife, Elizabeth of New Summerfield, Texas, Glenda Sue Campbell and husband, Ray of Cushing, Texas, and Dale McCutcheon and wife, Debbie of Valley Springs. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Service was Friday, August 28, 2009 at Bellefonte Church of Christ with Ray Crawford and Loyd Dodson, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Sexton Cemetery at Mt. Judea with pallbearers being Viva's grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
