Virgie Wilkinson, age 88 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Hillcrest Home in Harrison.
The daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Jennie (Stinnett) McGrew was born March 8, 1925 in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
Virgie was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and cooking. She was a member of Pine Street Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orbin Wilkinson; a daughter, Mary Lou Wilcox; granddaughter, Sandy Wilkinson; a great-grandson, Wesley Johnson; and eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors are her children, Larry Wilkinson and wife, Ann of Harrison, David Wilkinson and wife, Deanna of Oklahoma, Ronny Wilkinson and wife, Kenna of Harrison, Danny Wilkinson and wife, Brinda of Harrison, and Melissa Pettit and husband, Keith of Harrison; son-in-law, Lee Wilcox of Oregon; brother, Park McGrew and wife, Pernie of Lead Hill, Arkansas; sister, Bennie Dixon of Lead Hill, Arkansas; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Pine Street Missionary Baptist Church, 1012 N. Pine Street in Harrison.
Funeral services were Wednesday, July 3 at Pine Street Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Williams officiating.
Burial followed in York Cemetery at Bergman, Arkansas with pallbearers being grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Hillcrest Nursing Home.
Arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home.
