IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Vicky E.
Mccoy
January 5, 1921 – June 21, 2019
Vicky E. McCoy (age 98) peacefully graduated to her heavenly home on June 21, 2019. She was residing at the Woods at Willowcreek in Salem, Oregon.
Vicky was born near Sawyer, North Dakota on January 5, 1921 to Carl and Clara (Bechtold) Klinner.
Vicky lived an interesting and accomplished life. Living in over seven different states throughout her lifetime, she made friends easily wherever she went. She received her Master of Science Degree from Texas Woman's University, Denton Texas, and had a teaching certificate in four different states. But one of her favorite memories was the Nazarene Indian School in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she accepted the positions of Dean of Women and Dietician while also teaching Home Economics and Chemistry. She loved her students. While there she met and married Rev. Hiram (Mac) McCoy and became step-mother to his four children. She brought her knowledge and talents to the churches they served together. Later in life she opened and operated a successful business called Cupid's Bridal Corner in Cove, Arkansas. Vicky trusted God's love and power to direct her footsteps throughout her life's journey. She was a tiny lady who left a large footprint on the hearts of those who knew her.
Preceding her in death was her brother Leo Klinner of Sweet Home, OR; her sister Ellie Marihugh of Las Vegas; NV, her husband Rev. Hiram (Mac) McCoy of Harrison, AR; and their adopted son Allen Baca (their "Miracle Boy") of Mount Ida, AR.
She is survived by her step children: David McCoy of Yucaipa, CA; Twyla Cramer of Harrison, AR; Karen Emmons of Takoma, WA; Doris VanZandt of Laguna Woods, CA; and a large number of step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison, Arkansas on Monday, July 1, from 1 pm to 2 pm, followed immediately by a graveside service at Maplewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Church of the Nazarene, 215 E. South Ave, Harrison, AR 72601.
