Vernon Leon Reynolds, age 74 of Compton, Arkansas passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012 at his home.

He was born July 17, 1938 at Shiloh, Arkansas the son of Ernie and Edith (Hudson) Reynolds.

Vernon was a life time resident of Newton County.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Eddie Reynolds and Vearl Reynolds and two sisters, Joyce Sparks and Virgie Eaton.

Survivors are his wife, Bonnie (Huber) Reynolds of the home; two sons, Richard Reynolds of Kingston, Arkansas and Roger Reynolds of Compton, Arkansas; five daughters, Sylvia Louise Farmer of Kingston, Arkansas, Regenia May Craig of Jasper, Arkansas, Lasheryl Johnson of Compton, Arkansas, Kim Wilks of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Melissa Shockley of Compton, Arkansas; one sister, Betty Jean Edgmon of Mossville, Arkansas; fourteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Funeral services were Monday, July 30, 2012 at Mossville United Baptist Church with Robert Huber and Jerry Wood officiating. Burial was in Mossville Cemetery.

Visitation was Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Pallbearers were Timmy Reynolds, Bobby Reynolds, Brad Edgmon, Benny Henderson, Gary Sparks, Spanky Woods, Landon Woods and Billy Woods. Honorary pallbearers were be Rodney Sparks, Danny Woods, Kennie Woods, Bruce Edgmon and Clifton Flud.
