Vernon Lee Armer, age 85, of Batavia, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Berryville.

The son of Marion and Sally (Norris) Armer was born at Possum Trot, Arkansas on June 23, 1935.  He was a lifelong resident of Carroll and Boone Counties.

Vernon was a hard worker, spending many years working in a sawmill and also as a Right-of-way crew leader for the electric company.  He also enjoyed working on old cars and gardening.

Vernon was a quiet, friendly man who loved his family tremendously.  He always made sure his wife and kids had everything they needed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister and a granddaughter, Natasha Armer.

Vernon is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary (McAlister) Armer; three sons, Steve Armer of Goshen, Allen (Karlene) Armer of Alpena and Kent Armer of Alpena; his grandkids, Knight (Rose) Armer of Goshen, LeighAnn Cerra of Alpena and Beckah Armer of Alpena; his great grandkids, Hudson and Keaton Armer, Reilee and Aiden Cerra and Kaelyn Dodson; and a host of extended family who loved him and will miss him.

Graveside services are private.
