Vale Dean Jackson, age 89, of Harrison, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Harrison.
The son of Bert and Jimmie (Norris) Jackson, was born January 5, 1919 at Denver, Arkansas.
He served in the U.S. Navy on Okinawa during WWII and then worked as an auto mechanic for his life career. He loved visiting friends and family and served as a volunteer Chaplain for his VFW post.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Vaughn and Voyt Jackson; his sisters, Verba Whitney and Velma Blevins.
Survivors are his sisters, Vernice Roberts, of Omaha, Verlee and her husband, Denver Martin, of Harrison, Vivian and her husband, Thomas Curtis of Harrison; three daughters, Janet and her husband, Charles Weber, of Lamar, CO, Margaret Kuper, of Centerview, MO, and Linda nad her husband, Bill Dill, of Great Bend, KS; sons, David Jackson, of Cheyenne, WY and Marty Jackson and his wife, Sandy, of Lakewood, CO, and all their families including many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Funeral service was Friday, Feb. 22, at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Leonard Mast officiating. Burial followed in Norris Cemetery at Green Forest.
