Obituary

Troy Lee Plumlee, age 72 of Nail, AR, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, AR.

The son of Jim and Maude (Smith) Plumlee was born June 6, 1949 in Parthenon, AR.

He was a member of the Nail United Baptist Church.  He loved to hunt, fish, and watch the Arkansas Razorbacks.  He liked to joke around and was always up for a good laugh.  He worked many years as a school bus driver for Deer School.  He later worked and retired from Newton County as a road grade operator.

Troy is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Elizabeth Kay Plumlee of 36 years; sisters, Vernus Breedlove, Bertie Henderson, and Lavern White; brothers, Ray and Verlus Plumlee and Herbert Oliver; and a great granddaughter, Scarlett Smith.

Survivors include his daughters, Renita Morris and her fiance Ben Ellis of Harrison, AR and Kayla Waters and husband Len of Jasper, AR; his grandchildren, Shakeita Smith and husband Josh, Hunter Helms, and Kazen Waters; his great grandsons, Jaiden and Wylder; his wife, Mickey Plumlee of Farmington, AR along with her children Kimberly Hunt and husband Jody of Farmington, AR, and Charles Moore and wife Amy of Prairie Grove, AR; 10 grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; his sister, Mary Alice Baker of Ohio; his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Plumlee of Harrison and Jo Oliver of Wichita, KS; Along with many nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR, with Pastor Bobby Young and Pastor Billy Paul Matlock officiating.  Burial will follow in Mossville Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 29, 2021.

Pallbearers will be Len Waters, Josh Smith, Hunter Helms, Keaton Hunt, Cameron Hunt, Ben Ellis, and Paul Oliver.

Honorary pallbearers are Kazen Waters, Billy Barber, Jerry Williams, Steve Adams, Mike Gohr, James Dale Davis, Don Flud, Jeff Pugh, and Charles Ray Plumlee.
