Obituary
Troy Martin, age 84 of Hasty, AR passed away Monday, March 6, 2006 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, AR.
He was born July 20, 1921 in Witts Springs, AR a son of John Henry and Bessie (Gibson) Martin.
Troy was a member of Mt. Judea Church of Christ. Those who know Troy, know that he was a great man of honesty, integrity and love. He loved his wife, two daughters and grandchildren more than words can explain.
Troy served in WWII from September 1942 to February 1946. He retired from the Arkansas Highway Department in 1979. Troy enjoyed hunting, farming and the outdoors. He had lots of fun playing dominos and telling jokes to all his friends.
He has gone home to be with Jesus and will be truly missed.
Those that preceded him in death were his parents; one daughter, Barbara Smith and a son-in-law, James Jenkins.
Survivors are his wife, Tressie (McCutcheon) Martin of the home; daughter Jeannie (Jenkins) Wray and husband, John of Harrison; sister, Faye McGowan of Hasty; six grandchildren, Richard Smith and wife, Lisa, Farren Smith and wife, Deloris, Jerry Joe Smith, Becky Smith and husband, Donald, Dustie Jenkins and wife, Kristin, and Quincy Jenkins and wife, Kimberly; and eleven great grandchildren.
Services for Troy Martin were held March 9th, 2006 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison. Burial was in Sand Hill Cemetery at Yardelle, AR.
Memorials may be made to Sand Hill Cemetery fund c/o Bank of the Ozarks.
