Obituary
Tressie N. Martin, age 83 of Hasty, AR passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Golden Living Hilltop Nursing Center in Harrison, AR.
The daughter of Charlie and Gertrude (Hall) McCutchen, was born May 29, 1924 at Snowball, AR.
She was a lifelong resident of Newton County and was a member of Mt. Judea Church of Christ. She was also a homemaker and loved to sew and cook.
Her parents preceded her in death, along with her husband, Troy Martin, on March 6, 2006; a daughter, Barbara Smith; two sisters, Virgie Hamilton and Charlene Murphy; a brother, Delbert McCutchen; and a son-in-law, James Kirby Jenkins.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeannie (Jenkins) Wray and her husband, John Wilson Wray, of Harrison; brothers, Cline McCutchen, of Wichita, KS, Mitchell McCutchen and Desmal McCutchen, both of Mt. Judea, and Luell McCutchen, of Flippin; sister, Mildred Raines, of Harrison; and grandchildren, Richard Smith and wife, Lisa, Farren Smith and wife, Deloris, Jerry Joe Smith and wife,Tammy, Becky Smith and husband, Donnie and their dad, Jerry Smith, of Hasty, Dustie Jenkins and wife, Kristin, and Quincy Jenkins and wife, Kimberly; and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation was Thursday, April 10, 2008 with service Friday, April 11, 2008, at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison. Junior Dodson and Shelvon Gregory will officiate.
Burial followed in Sand Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were Frances Hoppis and the staff of Hilltop Nursing Center.
