Obituary
Tommy Douglas O'Brien, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 at home at the age of 55.
The son of James Henry and Lavora Ruth (Tingley) O'Brien was born July 5, 1961 at Kansas City, Missouri.
He was a veteran of the US Navy and a resident of this area since 1986. He enjoyed wood carving, and was very artistic and creative, making knives, swords, walking sticks and furniture. He recently became a self proclaimed "techie" joining Facebook. He also loved Duck Dynasty.
Tommy made everyone laugh and was very kindhearted, and often misunderstood. He was very strong in his beliefs and a hard worker who loved his family. When he loved you, it was with all his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lavora O'Brien, his grandparents, Tom and Grace O'Brien and James and Alberta Tingley; his uncles, Buck O'Brien, John O'Brien and Jerry O'Brien.
Tommy is survived by his companion and best friend of 6 years, Suzie Cooke of Harrison; his sister, Diana Bass of Sevierville, TN; his nephew, Patrick O'Brien of Chicago, IL; his niece, April Forney of Seymour, TN and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
