Tommy Olan Perkins, age 74 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Skaggs Community Health Center in Branson, Missouri.
The son of Aubrey and Marjorie (Thompson) Perkins was born March 5, 1937 in Blue Town, Texas.
Tom was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jasper where he was very involved with being a Deacon, the Chairman of the Brotherhood, a Sunday School Class leader, a member of the choir, and many other things.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Lela Perkins-Smith; and sister, Billie Jean Springer.
Survivors are his wife, Barbara (Johnson) Perkins of the home; son, Tommy Olan Perkins and wife, Amanda of Texarkana; daughter, Lechelle Walters of Vilonia; and six grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday, July 5, 2011 with service following at the First Baptist Church in Jasper. David Faught officiated.
Burial followed in Jasper Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Arrangements have being handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
