Timothy Wayne Cummings, of Harrison, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at The Springs of Mt. Vista.  He was 63 years old.

The son of Silas and Shirley (Reagan) Cummings was born on April 28, 1962 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Timothy was the definition of a people person—if there was a conversation to be had, he was already in the middle of it. He proudly spent over 40 years in his career as a meat cutter—not a butcher, thank you very much (he insisted on that distinction!). He spent 18 of those years at Edwards Grocery and several more at Grice's, making friends one perfectly sliced piece of meat at a time.

His work gave him the chance to chat with just about everyone in town, and he loved every minute of it. When he wasn't behind the meat counter, you could find him with a fishing rod in hand or hanging out with his two beloved dogs, Reckless and Sunny Marie.

Above all, Timothy was a devoted husband for 40 wonderful years to the love of his life, Jeanette (Boblett) Cummings. Their love story was one for the books—equal parts sweet, strong, and sprinkled with humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Woodrow Boblett; mother-in-law, Judy Dodson; two brothers-in-law, Bob and Joe Boblett; sister-in-law, Martha Boblett; and a nephew, William Boblett.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Jeanette Cummings; one son and his wife, Jeffery (Carrissa) Cummings; two brothers, Charles (Diane) Cummings and Donnie (Heather) Cummings and their children; two grandchildren; brother-in-law, Thomas Boblett; sister-in-law, Elaine Jackson; two nephews, James Keith and Woodrow (Melissa) Boblett; nieces, Melody (Rick) Ramirez, Rhonda (Jim) Nelson, and Baylee (Robert) Boblett and her children, Colton and Jackson; and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial service will be Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.  Thomas Eugene Boblett will officiate.
