Thomas Wayne "Tom" Scott, 82, of St. Joe, Arkansas passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.
He was born October 14, 1935 at St. Joe, Arkansas to Garland and Bessie Scott.
Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean War and a member of the American Legion Post 198. He worked at Claridge Products for over 30 years until his retirement in 1996. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Tom always had a smile on his face and his favorite phrase was, "if I had known having grandchildren was this good, I would have had them first".
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dolores Scott; two sons, Thomas Scott, Jr. and wife Katrina and Jay Scott and wife Tressa, all of St. Joe; four grandchildren, Amber Tinsley and husband Austin, Rusty Scott, Derrick Harmon and wife Jenny and Tiffany Holt; four great grandchildren, Dylan, Owen, Jaxin and Jagger; one brother, Woodrow Scott of AZ; and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be missed by many.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Pindall United Pentecostal Church (Highway 235) with Rev. Darvin Rainbolt officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Flat Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Pallbearers are Derrick Harmon, Rusty Scott, Austin Tinsley, Terry Crow, Colton Crow and Robert Eddings. Honorary Pallbearers are his granddaughters and great grandsons.
