Obituary

Thomas Newton "Tommy" Harding, of Marble Falls, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at his home.  He was 89 years old.

The son of Ben and Bertha (Wise) Harding was born on January 6, 1935 near Pruitt in Newton County, Arkansas.

Tommy was a lifelong resident of Arkansas.  He was an avid outdoorsman who especially loved fishing, hunting, traveling, and boating.  He also enjoyed elk hunting in Colorado and was a fan of NASCAR.  Tommy was an excellent storyteller and was the kind of man who never met a stranger.  He received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Arkansas Game and Fish was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Harding; one son, Joe Thomas Harding; four brothers; several uncles, and one son-in-law, Sherman Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Harding; two daughters, Brenda Harding and Delinda Smith Simmons and husband, Kirt; six grandchildren, Ashton Harding, Tiffany Harding, Andrew Clark, Clay Clark, Kay Clark, and Laura Lyn Martin and husband, Jake; four great grandchildren, Ravyn, Hunter, Bronc and Adi; former daughter-in-law, Laura Brasel; and his friends Lester Carl, Arl Jones, and Mojo Collins, and so many others.

A graveside service will be Monday, January 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Jasper Cemetery.

Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper
