Theresa "Birdie" F. Frye, age 50 of Harrison, passed away at Mercy St. Johnson Hospital in Springfield, MO, Tuesday August 2, 2010.
She was born in Memphis, TN on June 12, 1960, the daughter of Rudolph and Thelma (Turner) James.
Theresa loved doing crafts, fishing, Karaoke, yard work and life in general. She was a kind, giving and outgoing person. She could always put a smile on your face and go out of her way to help anyone that she thought needed her. In 1996, she donated one of her kidneys to save her oldest brother's life.
Survivors include her husband, Clifton Frye of the home and her beloved dog "Chipper"; three sons, Ricky Marvin, Joshua Dale, and Matthew Jeffrey Scott; one daughter, Donna Marie Kitchens; two granddaughters, Brittany Kitchens and Madelyn Scott; Parents, Rudlolph James of Karnack, TX, and Thelma James of Hernando, MS; 3 brothers, Clifford, Ronnie and Larry James; 3 sisters, Patricia James, Deborah Brown and husband, Mark, Vicki Sargent and husband, Daniel; brother-in-law, Darrell Frye and wife, Susan; one God sister, Louise Horde and husband, L. V. She also has numerous nieces and nephews surviving.
Visitation was Thursday, with the service on Friday, both at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Eulogy by Mark Brown. Burial will followed in Mapleleaf Cemetery with Shannon Morris officiating.
Honorary pallbearrs were the members of Elks Lodge # 2311.
Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society.
