Thelma Mae (Martin) Hamilton, age 93, went to be with the Lord, Friday, July 23, 2010 at her home.
She was born March 17, 1917 the daughter of Edgar and Unis Martin in Ward, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cecil Hamilton; a grandson, James Summers; a granddaughter, Norma Mae Cooper; a great-great-great granddaughter, Jasmine Iverson; as well as several brothers, sisters, and two sons-in-law.
Survivors are her children, Della Wilson, Norma Armstrong, Carol Petereit and husband, Karl, Darrell Martin and wife, Sandy, and Charles Hamilton and wife, Sheryl, all of Harrison; sisters, Verlie Jones of Grafton, Ohio; Ethal Persinger of Glasgow, West Virginia, and Gladys McDougal of Ohio; brother, Roy Martin and wife, Inez of Georgetown, Tennessee; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Thelma loved the Lord, her family, cooking, bowling, gardening, and crafts. She was loved by all who met her and had a kind spirit and sweet smile.
Visitation for Thelma was Monday, July 26, 2010 with the service Tuesday, July 27, 2010 both at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Pastor Kenneth Crow officiated. Burial followed in Bellefonte Cemetery with pallbearers being Charlie Hamilton, Karl Petereit, Emil Iverson, II, Emil Iverson, III, Noel Swigart, and Richard Swigart.
Honorary pallbearer was Darrell Martin.
