Terry Lee Roberts, age 66, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 in Harrison.
One of four children of Leona Helen (Hansen) and Lester Fay Roberts, was born on July 31, 1946 in Glenwood, Iowa.
He grew up in Silver City, Iowa and attended school in Silver City until the 9th grade, finishing school in Glenwood, Iowa.
Terry served in the United States Army from August 1963 through August 1966. He served in Company A, 3rd S&T BN in Germany. His service rank was Sergeant E-5.
Terry married Beth (Carlson) Roberts and had two children, Todd Lee Roberts and Christina Lee (Roberts) Shere. Terry then married Marjorie Lynn (Williams) Roberts and had one child, Travis Lee Roberts.
Terry went to work for Vickers, Inc. in Omaha, Nebraska for 27 years and left as quality control manager. Terry bought and ran TR's Place in Silver City for 3 years, then moved to Harrison, Arkansas with his wife Marjorie and son Travis. Terry finished his life working for the Harrison School District as a bus driver.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Lester; mother, Leona and grandson, Alexander Lee.
Terry is survived by his wife, Marjorie Roberts of Harrison, Arkansas; a son, Todd Roberts and wife Brandi of Glenwood, Iowa; a daughter, Christina Shere and husband Doug of Malvern, Iowa; a son, Travis Roberts and wife Amanda of Conway, Arkansas; seven grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Roberts and wife Susan of Council Bluffs, Iowa; a sister, Judy Gough and husband Allen of Perry, Iowa; and a brother, Jim Roberts and wife Dixie of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Services were held Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Brother Robin St. Clair officiating. Burial followed in Maple Leaf Cemetery. Visitation was Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers included Jerry Roberts, Jim Roberts, JJ Roberts, Clayton Shere, Oran Daffron and Jim Gough. Honorary pallbearers included Brother Dennis Selvidge, Sandy Murphy, Carl Bear, Rick Rogers, Larry Biggs and Kennard Sheppard.
