Obituary

Teddy Ray Waters, age 64 of Deer, AR, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville, AR.

The son of Roy Beecher Waters and Marjorie Eileen (Henderson) Waters was born on April 19, 1959, in Harrison, AR.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his infant brother, Roger; his son, Austin Waters; his brothers, Wallace Waters and Freddie Waters; and his sister-in-law, Billie Waters.

Teddy married his sweetheart on May 14, 1983.  Teddy was saved at a young age and started singing for the Lord in church.  He enjoyed reading his Bible at home, playing his guitar, and attending church.  Teddy had many passions.  Bluegrass music was dear to him and he got to share his love for bluegrass at many festivals and shows.

As a teenager, Teddy worked for Dogpatch USA and then Arkansas Electric.  Teddy loved spending time with his grandchildren.  Teddy's time spent fishing, trapping, and hunting were his favorite memories.  He loved the outdoors, ginseng digging, hunting, fishing, trapping, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Arkansas Razorbacks.

Teddy is survived by his wife Wilma Jean (Kilgore) Waters of Deer, AR; his sons and daughters-in-law, Cody and Tara Waters of Gravette, AR, and Bradley and Ashley Waters of Harrison, AR; his grandchildren, Lanie, Colby, Colton, Cayson, and Emmy Waters; his sister-in-law, Bessie Waters of Harrison; and his brother-in-law, Joe Kilgore of Mt. Sherman, AR.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR, with Brother Tony Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in Wayton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Waters, Kirk Waters, Kevin Waters, Roy Carter, Steve Frick, and Harry Wagler.

Honorary pallbearers are Teddy's grandchildren, Joe Kilgore, Robert Humphrey, Floyd Humphrey, and his dearest Nephews, Nieces, and Friends.

The family would like to give a very special thank you to the Northwest Medical Center Staff, Dr. Elesbur, Dr. Joshua Manian, and Circle of Life Hospice House.
