Obituary

Ted Roberts, age 72 of Everton, AR passed away Sunday, March 4, 2007 at his home.

The son of Walter Edwin and Lucille (Miller) Roberts, was born February 28, 1935 in Des Moines, IA. He had lived in this area since 1990, moving from Des Moines. He served in the U.S. Navy, receiving several medals. He attended the Olvey Bible Church, was a member of Local Union 33, Plumbers and Steam Fitters from November 1957 to May 1990, and a member of American Legion. Before retiring and moving here, he worked as a plumber and steam fitter.The last several years, he enjoyed working as a farmer and rancher. He enjoyed his horses, cattle, and baling hay and was also a member of the American Quarter Horse Association.

His parents preceded him in death along with a brother, Walter Roberts and sisters, Glory Vande Stowe, Mary T. Villines, and Helen L. Roberts.

Survivors are his wife, Marcia (Atkins) Roberts of the home; sons, Dan Roberts and wife, Kelli, John Roberts, Ted Roberts, Jr. and his wife, Tracey, Andrew Roberts, Charles Roberts, Shane Roberts and wife, Angela, all of Iowa; daughters, Jolene Lettow, Susan Roberts, and Lucille Shaeffer and husband, Randy, also all of Iowa; step-sons, John Holt of Harrison and Marvin Holt and wife, Lisa of Everton; brother and sisters, Dan Roberts and wife, Edith and Dolores Pratt, of Harrison, Rosemary Yetter and husband, Chuck, Joan Roberts and husband, Chuck, Anita Roberts, Michael Roberts, and Carol Blythe and husband, Jackie also of Iowa; seventeen grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.

Visitation was Wednesday, March 7 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Service was Thursday, March 8, at the funeral home chapel with Bobby Brown officiating. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers were sons and step-sons. Honorary pallbearers were Donnie Fontana, Ron McEntire, Pat Dorrian, and Tim Roberts.
