Sylvia Patton, 81 of North Little Rock, AR passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Heritage Living Center in Conway, AR.
Before becoming disabled, Mrs. Patton was a farm wife and gardener. She never met a stranger and was known throughout the community for her big heart and the love she felt for her family, especially her granddaughters.
Mrs. Patton was the daughter of the late John and Pearl (Nelson) Cranford of Cave Mountain in Newton County. She was born September 11, 1930 at the Jack Johnson homestead near Cave Mountain. Mrs. Patton was a resident of Swain for 44 years before moving to North Little Rock.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Patton of Swain and one brother Orville Cranford of Swain.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Tina Patton of North Little Rock; two granddaughters, Sarah Patton of North Little Rock and Rachel Tidwell of Murphysboro, IL; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dewey and Nellie Cranford of Aurora, Johnny and Lou Cranford of Westville, OK and Troy and Patty Cranford of Harrison. She is also survived by nine neices and three nephews.
Funeral services were held at Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper on Saturday, March 17, 2012 with Rev. Miles Cook of North Little Rock officiating. Burial followed in the Kapark Cemetery.
Open visitation was held at Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper on Friday, March 16, 2012 and until noon on Saturday, March 17, 2012.
Pallbearers were Dennis, Paul and Holden Brasel, Ron Cranford, Dan Hill and Adam Tidwell.
