Obituary
Silva Ramsey, age 79 of Parthenon, Arkansas passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008 at his home.
The son of Connie Kline and Nancy Lee (Vaughn) Ramsey, he was born July 22, 1929 at Wayton, Arkansas.
Silva retired from Daisy Manufacturing in Rogers, Arkansas. He moved back to Parthenon sixteen years ago, after having lived in Murray, CA, Lowell and Rogers, AR, Kansas City, KS, and Little Flock, AR.
His parents preceded him in death along with a son, Dwayne Ramsey; three brothers, Cecil, Shirley, and Ercie Ramsey; two sisters, Buna Brasel and Essie Daniels; and two grandchildren, Deanna Ferguson and Rachel Hemmingway.
Survivors are his wife, Pat Ramsey of Parthenon; his children, Kenneth Randall Ramsey of Bentonville, Sheila Bowen of Lowell, and Glenda King of Springdale; three brothers, Duel Ramsey and Shelley Ramsey, both of Lowell, and J.W. Ramsey of Little Flock; two sisters, Beatrice Carter of Parthenon and Adella Willis of Deer; six grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Monday, August 4, 2008 with funeral services Tuesday, August 5, 2008, both at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Bro. Troy Walker officiated the service.
Burial followed in Snow Cemetery at Wayton.
