Shirley Dean Young Bolin, of Cary, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at her home. She was 90 years old.

The daughter of Clifford and Flossie (Greene) Young was born in Harrison, Arkansas on February 10, 1935.

She was a retired secretary for Vocational Rehabilitation from the State of North Carolina as well as Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vernon Bolin; and a granddaughter, Teri Kaye Hudspeth.

Shirley is survived by her son, Terry Bolin and wife Becky; two daughters, Vernadeen Carter and husband Chris and Jorita Richardson and husband Bobby; four grandchildren, Kristin Carter, Luke Bolin, Landon Bolin (Taylor), and Josh Carter (Kendrick); one great grandson, Jackson Carter; and many extended relatives.

Private graveside burial will be held at Maplewood Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
