Shirley Ann Newberry, age 53 of Harrison, Arkansas departed this life Thursday, August 21, 2008 at her home.

The daughter of Frank and Mary (Howard) Fleming, she was born December 8, 1954 at Bakersfield, California.

Shirley enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren and was devoted to helping others.

Shirley was preceded in death by a sister, Rhonda Mooney and a nephew, Eric Fleming.

Survivors are her husband, Phillip Newberry of the home; sons, Richard Fleming and Matthew Fleming both of Bakersfield, CA, and Wade Newberry Christian of Harrison; daughters, Nacole Jack of Columbia, MO, Mandy Wright and Stacy Sharp both of Bakersfield, CA, and Page Newberry of the home; eight grandchildren; and her parents, Frank and Mary Fleming of California.

Visitation was Monday, August 25, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Services were Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Coffman Chapel. Bro. Tollie Sutterfield officiated. Burial followed in Denning Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Smith, Derek Rogers, Terry Gustafson, Carry Smith, Clifford Christian, and Richard Mays. Honorary pallbearers were David Hicks and Howard Hicks.
