Obituary

Sherry Arlene Clark, age 76, of Jasper, AR, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the North Arkansas Medical Center in Harrison, AR.

The daughter of Bill and Zelda (Hendrix) Canole was born May 26, 1950, in Kansas City, MO.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Sherry worked as a CNA and an activities director at the Newton County Nursing Home. She was also on the fair board and enjoyed volunteering whenever she could. She loved to draw and paint and decorate for the holidays at Countryside. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends and sitting around a fire with her family telling stories.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Danny Clark of Jasper; her son Danny Ray Clark Jr. and wife Jennifer of Ponca, AR; her daughters, Dena Smith and husband Kevin of Jasper and Amy Goodnight and husband Danny of Antlers, Ok; her brothers, Larry Canole and wife Deanna of Gower, MO, and Randy Canole and wife Elizabeth of Platte City, MO; and her sister, Phyllis Hubbard of Blue Springs, MO.

Sherry is also survived by her grandchildren, Tyler Clark, Kaylee Waters, Sam Clark, Jason Smith, Jaden Smith, Britney Methvin, and Jamie Goodnight and Sarah Goodnight; and her great-grandchildren, Marlea Clark, Copeland Clark, Gatlin Waters, Weston Waters, James Methvin, Benjamin Methvin, Caroline Methvin, and Lucy Methvin; and her dear friends, Jolena Villines, June Coonts, Billie Kilore, Judy Wiley, Tammy Hocut, and all the staff of Countryside Nursing Home and Rehab.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
