Obituary

Shelby Wayne Badders, age 82, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the Veteran's Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

He was born on July 18, 1936 to the late Thomas and Nellie (Bittle) Badders of Pearson, Arkansas. He has been a resident of Murray, Arkansas, since 1970 but recently had been living at the Grandview Apartments in Jasper, Arkansas.

Shelby served in the United States Army, worked for the U.S. Forestry Services and loved the great outdoors, especially the Grand Teton Mountains in Wyoming. He was an avid gardener and loved to play the banjo. He also worked for many years as a carpenter. One of his favorite pastimes was engaging in philosophical witty discussions concerning all the world's problems.

He is survived by two daughters, Nicole Brown of Dallas, Texas; Chreea Booher and husband Mark of Fayetteville, AR; a son, Jedediah Badders and wife April of Post Falls, Idaho; and his grandchildren, Madeleine Booher & Alexa Stanimirovic of Fayetteville, AR, and Emry Badders and Gabriel Badders of Post Falls, Idaho.

He is also survived by his sister, Virginia Kenworthy and husband Robert of Greenbriar, AR; a brother, Michael Badders of Batesville, AR and nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 12, 2019 at 2:00PM, at the Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, Arkansas with Tony Taylor officiating.
