Sharon Kay (Barefoot) Odom Salas, age 74, of Branson, Missouri, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Springfield on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

The daughter of Mark Ferrell Barefoot and Alta Loretta (Archer) Barefoot was born January 7, 1951 in Harrison, Arkansas. Sharon spent her younger years in Texas and Oklahoma, before her family returned to Bergman, where she graduated high school with the Class of 1969.

She made the move to Branson, Missouri over 20 years ago and commuted to Harrison while working at Fed-Ex. She was a dedicated employee, retiring just a few years ago. She worked hard her whole life and deserved everything she accomplished.

Sharon was a very talented seamstress and crafter. She has sewn many beautiful quilts and old-fashioned rabbits. She especially enjoyed going to flea markets and antiquing with her sister.

She was caring, smart and funny. More than anything, Sharon loved her family. After the passing of her mother, she became the matriarch of the family, always there to lead her family in decisions and to help guide them with anything they faced.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Loretta Barefoot and her husband, Larry Odom.

Sharon is survived by her son, Tad Odom of Branson, MO; her brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Artie Barefoot of Cache, Oklahoma; her sister and brother-in-law, Pam Barefoot (Troy Collins) of Diamond City, AR; three grandchildren, Kayla Odom Ramos (Robert), Natalie "Jectt" Odom, and Kristopher Mullin; one great grandchild, Koa; her aunt Charlene Archer of Alexandria, VA; her beloved fur baby and kitty, Hanji and Ella; a niece, several nephews; and a host of extended relatives and many dear friends.

An open visitation will be held Monday, February 3 from Noon until 5 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. A graveside service will be at 11 AM, Tuesday, February 4 (2025) at York Cemetery in Bergman under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home. Mitchell Archer will officiate.

Pallbearers are Tad Odom, Braden Collins, Troy Collins, Mark Barefoot, Shawn Barefoot, and Natalie "Jectt" Odom.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations in her name can be made to St. Jude's.
