Obituary

Sharon Kay Hamilton, age 77, of Harrison, Arkansas went home to be with Lord on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at her home. The daughter of Ray and Mary Sue (Fowler) Easter was born March 2, 1948 in Harrison, Arkansas.

Sharon was a lifelong resident of Boone County and a 1966 graduate of Valley Springs High School. She was a lifelong member of Bellefonte First Baptist Church. Sharon married George Hamilton September 22, 1978 and they enjoyed 35 years of marriage, camping trips and creating memories until his passing July 29, 2014.

Sharon was very family-oriented, and her sisters were her best friends. She loved her kids and was so proud of her grandkids and great grandsons. She could always be found cheering for her grandchildren at every school function and sporting event. Fiercely independent (and stubborn), Sharon often took on tasks by herself, from painting to moving furniture around the house. In her younger years, she enjoyed sewing. She loved her Pepsi, crossword puzzles and watching old westerns. Her home was a regular family gathering place for Sunday afternoon lunch following church.

Sharon was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Hamilton, and brother-in-law, Harold Hicks. She was also preceded by her fur-babies that she loved, Pepper, Ginger, and most recently, Sherlock.

Sharon is survived by her children, Lisa Brown and husband, Barry and Jamie Methvin and wife, Michelle; stepdaughters, Gloria Ballard and husband Stan, and Brandy Still and husband Eric; five grandchildren, Matthew Brown and wife Kailey, Nicholas Brown and fiancée Katelynn Underdown, Joshua Brown and wife Brittany, Trinity Methvin, and Alyssa Methvin; three great grandsons, Baylor, Deaglan, and Laithan. She is also survived by her sisters, Rayanna Hicks, Carolyn Reynolds, and Linda Thomason and husband James, and several very special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 1 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Coffman Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 10 AM, Friday, May 2 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Pastor Tom Harris officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Brown, Nicholas Brown, Joshua Brown, Craig Hicks, Gary Reynolds, Brandon Reynolds, Cindy Rogers, and Kristi Hicks.

Private burial at Bellefonte Cemetery will be held at a later date.
