Shannon Clenton Jones, age 49, of Alpena, Arkansas, passed away at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center on Thursday, September 28, 2023.
The son of Richard Allan Jones and Sheila Claudette (Evans) Hulsey was born October 9, 1973 in Harrison. Shannon was a lifelong resident of the area and attended college for heavy equipment operation. He had worked for the family roofing company.
Shannon loved watching football and was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan. He also loved camping, fishing, collecting knives, and listening to music all the time. Shannon was loyal, silly, and bull-headed. He had a good heart and was always there for you. He loved his family, especially his grandbabies. He adored his mother, stepfather, and children.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Allan Jones; grandmother, Oma Lee Evans; grandfather, Ray Clenton Evans; granddaughter, EmmaLynn Faye Campbell; uncles, Curtis and Billy Evans; aunts, Ramona Davis and ReaAnn Salmon; and his fur baby and best friend, Charlie Jones.
Shannon is survived by his wife, Subrina McGrew; daughters, Dekota Jones (Mason Campbell) and Chelsea Clark; mother and step-father, Sheila and Kevin Hulsey; brothers, Allan Jones (Tracy) and Thomas Jones; sister, Christin Cantwell; step-brothers, Dustin Hulsey and Derek Hulsey; 7 grandbabies, Alec, Suri, and Denver Clark, Kingsley Fitzpatrick, Maddox Clark, Kambri Campbell, and Nevaeh Campbell; nephews, Araya Jones and Indiana Richard Allan Jones; nieces, Shailee Hamm and Tori VanKuilenburg; aunts and uncles, Jr. Evans, Gary Evans, Robbie Evans, Lori Keirn, Sandy Allen, Karen Grzybowski, Teri Jones; and a few of his closest relationships that his daughter wanted to mention, Joshua Rains, Mike Battenfield, and Rocky Evans; and a host of extended relatives and many other friends who loved him and will miss him dearly.
Celebration of life will be held at 2 PM, Monday, October 9, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 8, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
